ReviRide Vehicle Owners Terms & Conditions

This summary outlines the key points of the terms and conditions for facilitating the rental of the owner's vehicle(s) to the public.
The agreement is between Revelry Motorcycles Pty Ltd (ReviRide) as the "Facilitator" and a "Vehicle Owner"

Key points include:
  • Revenue Split: Owner 49%, the Facilitator 12%, and the Rental Location 39% of rental revenue.
  • Payments: Owners are paid by the 10th of each month for the previous month's rentals via direct deposit. Owners receiving over $60,000 annually must be GST registered.
  • Rental Rates: ReviRide determines market-based rental rates, which may increase during peak seasons.
  • Kilometrage: Each rental day includes 800 km; additional kilometres are charged at $0.50/km.
  • Owner Responsibilities:
    • Maintain comprehensive insurance for commercial rental (even when not on rent).
    • Remove trackers and toll accounts from the vehicle.
    • Supply two keys/fobs and the key code.
    • Deliver the vehicle to the Rental Location with a full tank and clean, with accessories installed.
    • Supply service records and approve maintenance.
    • Cover transportation costs to and from the Rental Location.
    • Make the vehicle available for an agreed-upon time and cover cancellation costs for early removal.
    • Be responsible for registration, licensing, testing, and inspection fees.
  • Insurance: The Facilitator provides daily rental insurance (currently $16.50/day, deducted from the Owner's share), which is in addition to the Owner's required comprehensive insurance. Optional annual comprehensive coverage is available to replace the Owner's existing policy.
  • Wear and Tear vs. Damage: The agreement defines what constitutes typical wear and tear (e.g., light scratches, weathering of fabric, minor scuffing) versus damage (e.g., punctures, cuts, rips to upholstery, modifications, damage impairing operation).
  • Maintenance: The Rental Location performs safety checks and logbook maintenance (with owner approval). If the Owner refuses maintenance, the vehicle will be grounded, and storage fees may apply.
  • Warranties: The Owner is responsible for repairs of mechanical failures that render the vehicle inoperable, especially if outside manufacturer warranty.
  • Facilitator's Obligations: Oversee the claims process for loss and damage, ensuring the Owner is named as "additional insured" and a loss payee on the rental insurance policy. The policy covers fire, theft, and collision with a $3,000 basic excess.
  • Prohibitions: No riders under 25 or with Learner/P-Plate licenses. The Facilitator cannot use the vehicle illegally, for public transport, transfer the agreement or ownership, or alter the vehicle without the Owner's consent.
  • Inspections: The Rental Location inspects the vehicle, and the Owner can inspect it at any reasonable time.
  • Vehicle Sale Option: If the vehicle is listed "For Sale," the Facilitator has the option to purchase it at the agreed price plus related fees.
